Justification: Directive 2013/59/Euratom strengthens  this pillar of patient radiation safety

The justification principle is part of the new Directive 2013/59/Euratom. The directive strengthens this principle − one of the pillars of radiation safety − and includes it in the regulations of the member countries of the European Union. Justifying medical imaging interventions entails doing only necessary examinations first of all and, when several medical imaging techniques provide the same result, choosing the technique that is least risky for the patient. Patient dose monitoring on a regional scale: Medsquare’s partnership with Carestream at the HIT exhibition of the Paris Healthcare Week

Zoom on the HIT exhibition of the Paris Healthcare Week Medsquare will be present at Carestream’s booth at the HIT (Health-ITExpo, booth O24) exhibition of the Paris Healthcare Week, which will take place on 29-31 May at Porte de Versailles. This is an excellent opportunity to show not only the benefits of this alliance but also to present the Radiation Dose Monitor (RDM) solution to all customers, including those of the Krypton project. In February 2018, Carestream was chosen by the public interest group ‘E-health in action’ (GIP Esea) to implement the Krypton project in New-Aquitaine for the exchange and secure sharing of medical imaging data. As part of this tender, the manufacturer selected Medsquare to deploy the RDM patient dose monitoring solution on a regional scale. (more…)

Toyo Medic presenting for the first time RDM at the ITEM 2018

Medsquare’s partners Toyo Medic is participating in the International Technical Exhibition of Medical Imaging (ITEM) exhibition held in Yokohama on April 13 – 15. Organized by the Japan Medical Imaging and Radiological Systems Industries Association (JIRA), the exhibition brings together all the latest medical imaging systems and peripheral devices.
